On Friday, February 25th, we had the pleasure of greeting architects Africa Arreola and Miguel Escobar in our winery. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize our visitors with Viñedos Don Juan and its surroundings, since we are looking for their support in the restoration project of our winery.
We want the restoration to be as environmentally responsible as it can be. For this we plan on reusing available building materials and readily available natural resources, such as our terrain’s abundant rock supply, among other possibilities.
The emphasis on being “green” for our restoration project, which goes along with Viñedos Don Juan’s Environmental Initiatives, is precisely why we have reached out to our architect friends. Africa has a master’s in Design and Architecture focused on Sustainable Architecture, while Miguel has a master’s in Project Architecture.
Last Friday’s meeting was simply the “first step” in our long road towards restoration, but as we all know, we have start from somewhere. We will keep updating you with any details about the project.
